Closing the Real Estate Transaction

Upon finding your desired property, your agent should work with you to :

  • Make an offer on the property
  • Negotiate to get the offer accepted
  • Open escrow. Send in the earnest deposit.
  • Due diligence - Investigate all aspects of the property.
  • Get a property inspection and appraisal
  • Lender works on getting loan approval 
  • Sign all documents; Do a final walk-through.
  • Lender funding / buyer wire in the remaining deposit
  • Recording / transaction close - ownership transfer
